you might be able to find BRASS tubing by contacting Micromark www.micromark.com. From my scale model sailing ship days, they were a wonderful source of tools, clamps etc. for scale modeling. Although the tubing in their catalog is too small for circles we need, perhaps they will give name of their supplier who may make or know who makes larger diameters. You might also order their free catalog. They have items that are of great intrest.
I informed Bobc that he might hate me for this-I know how dangerous a new catalog can be.

I found small brass and aluminum tubing at my local Hobby Lobby store.

Don't know if they have the sizes you need though.

I did the same thing that Dave did, you can get brass and aluminum and they are cheap. For now I'm going to use the aluminum in the the side dots and the fingerboard and see how they turn out...

Micro-Mark is indeed dangerous, there are all kinds of neat tools that we luthiers can use. The hobby industry is full of nifty gadgets :)

The aluminum on the fingerboard will lose its luster and you will have to polish it up. The side dots will be ok though since they are under laquer.
